Sex Offender Jailed for 14 Years Over Sick Abuse of Girls and Woman
A vile sex offender has been locked up for 14 years after sexually abusing two girls and a woman. The shocking case came to light in October 2019 when Kent Police launched an investigation following a sexual assault report in Dover the previous month.
Pervert Identified and Caught
The vile culprit was identified as 40-year-old Nicholas Lumsden, a resident of Selcroft Avenue, Birmingham. He was arrested and charged with 14 counts, including indecent assault, sexual assault of a child, and sexual activity with a child.
Lumsden denied all charges but was found guilty at Maidstone Crown Court after a full trial.
Harsh Sentence Delivered
On April 17, 2024, Lumsden was sentenced to 14 years behind bars. In addition, he will serve another five years on license and is subject to a 25-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Police Praise Victims’ Courage
“I hope the fact that Lumsden is now serving a lengthy prison sentence gives the victims some sense that justice has been done,” said Detective Constable Antony White, lead investigator from Kent Police.
“We are here to investigate and support those who have been affected by sexual offences.”
Detective White urged anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse, recent or historical, to come forward and report it to the police.
