Two drug dealers locked up for over five years after cuckooing Chatham home
Two hardened dealers have been jailed for a combined five and a half years after using a Chatham house to push drugs. Dogan Mustafa and Sean Crossin were busted following a targeted Kent Police sting in August 2018.
Operation Raptor cracks down on county lines dealers
Kent Police’s Operation Raptor team swooped after receiving intel about drug supply in Chatham. On 29 August 2018, officers executed a search warrant at a property in Chatham Grove. Crossin, 23, was found inside, despite having no local links. The pair were caught “cuckooing” the address—a tactic where dealers use someone else’s home as a base to distribute drugs.
Heroin hauls and damning evidence sealed their fate
- Three packages containing 24 wraps of heroin were seized.
- A mobile phone revealed the duo’s communications organising the supply chain.
- Mustafa, 21, from Swanley, coordinated the deal and was handed four and a half years.
- Crossin, from Southwark, got 40 months for conspiring to supply heroin.
Police vow to stamp out drug crime in Medway
“These offenders had no ties to the Medway towns but were determined to make as much money as possible from people suffering from substance abuse,” said Detective Constable Robin Hemsley of Operation Raptor. “The irrefutable evidence we seized left them with no choice but to plead guilty. There is no place for drug dealing in Medway.”
The sentences send a clear message: Kent Police will keep hunting down drug dealers preying on local communities.
