Kent Air Ambulance Lands Amid Chaos
The Kent air ambulance touched down in nearby Hesketh Park around 12:25am. Witnesses say several bystanders were left in tears at the grim scene.

- Route 492 is diverted both ways, missing stops between The Brent and Overy Street (eastbound) and Market Street (westbound).

Police confirmed a 20-year-old local woman died at the scene after a collision between a black Vauxhall Meriva and a black Volkswagen Touareg at 11:43pm near Sussex Road junction.
