Paul Cunningham Charged After Early Morning Attack

Paul Cunningham, 42, from Pevensey Road, Eastbourne, has been slammed with serious charges following a savage assault on police officers. The unemployed man is accused of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault causing actual bodily harm, attacking an emergency worker, and carrying an offensive weapon in public.

Three Officers Targeted in Terminus Road

The terrifying incident happened shortly after 1am on Monday, September 14, in Terminus Road, Eastbourne. Cunningham allegedly launched the assault on three police officers, sparking a swift police response.

Remanded to Court

Cunningham was held in custody and is set to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning, September 16.
