P&O Ferries Cancel All Day Sailings Tomorrow Amid Calais Strikes

Full Day Shutdown

P&O Ferries has scrapped all sailings between 8am and 5pm tomorrow. The brutal blow comes as industrial action hits Calais, France, leaving passengers stranded and schedules in chaos.

Disrupted Service After 5pm

Services are set to restart after 5pm, but expect serious delays and disruption well into the evening. P&O warns: “Our services are operating with significant disruption. Please allow plenty of time before your scheduled sailing.”

DFDS Warns of Delays

It’s not just P&O feeling the pinch. Rival operator DFDS has issued a travel warning for its Dover-Calais routes, confirming delays due to the strikes. The company says affected passengers will be contacted directly with new travel plans.

Strikes Hit Ferries Before

This isn’t the first time industrial unrest has snarled ferry crossings. Earlier this year, French strikes forced a suspension of services at Calais, wreaking havoc on cross-Channel travel.

Travellers are advised to check with their ferry operator before heading to the port to avoid disappointment.
