Man Charged with Murder of Woman Found in Caravan Site Tent
Christopher Cole, 30, from Clun Road, Wick, Littlehampton, was arrested on Thursday, 5 November. He faces charges over the murder of Sarah Clayton at the Buckle caravan and camping site on Marine Parade.
Tragic Discovery Sparks Major Crime Investigation
Sarah Clayton was found dead in a tent at the site on 13 May. The Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team quickly launched a murder inquiry. Cole and Sarah were known to each other, sources confirmed.
Court Appearances and Next Steps
Cole appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 5 November. He was remanded in custody and is due to face Lewes Crown Court on 9 November.
