Fifth Man Busted in Canterbury Murder Probe
A fifth suspect has been arrested over the brutal killing of a 23-year-old man in Canterbury.
Deadly Attack on Canterbury High Street
The victim was fatally assaulted on Thursday, October 10, 2024, right on Canterbury’s busy High Street. Police quickly arrested four men. Two of those were charged with murder while the other two were released on bail.
New Arrest in Herne Bay
On Wednesday, October 16, cops arrested a 23-year-old man from Herne Bay. He’s suspected of assisting offenders and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Two Men Charged With Murder
- Kemal Ibrahim, 24, of Long Acre Close, Canterbury
- Mohammed Hgar, 31, no fixed address
Both face murder and possession of a bladed weapon charges. Ibrahim also faces assault charges. They are remanded in custody and due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, October 18.
The investigation is ongoing.
