Fire Service Storms Portsmouth Tower Block with High Court Warrant
Last night at 11pm, Hampshire Fire and Rescue teamed up with police to raid Windsor House in Canal Walk, Portsmouth. Armed with a High Court warrant, they forced entry to install fire alarms in every flat. The tower block had no working core fire alarm system – a shocking oversight for a building that burned in a major 2014 blaze.
Flames Scarred This Tower Before
This is the very same block that caught fire back in 2014, raising serious safety concerns for residents. Despite the past, there was still no proper warning system in place.
Flats Now Off-Limits Until Alarm System Fixed
Fire crews left a stern notice downstairs: all flats are prohibited from use until a new, full building fire warning system is installed. Authorities are not taking any chances with resident safety.
More updates coming soon.
