Two Arrested Over Hackney Stabbing in Broad Daylight
Teen and 18-Year-Old Charged With Attempted Murder
A 17-year-old male and Elijah Seriki, 18, from Hackney, were arrested on Thursday, 10 March, on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. Both were charged the very next day, Friday, 11 March.
Stabbing Incident in Broad Daylight
The charges stem from an attack on a 23-year-old man who was stabbed just before 1:55pm on 9 March at Pownall Road, E8. Police arrived at the scene to find the victim with a knife wound.
Victim Survives, Suspects Remanded
The injured man was rushed to an east London hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening. Both suspects were remanded in custody and ordered to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on 11 March.
