Gun and Knife Seized from Man on E-Scooter in Sheffield
Two plainclothes police officers made a dramatic stop in Sheffield on Friday, May 20, uncovering a gun and a large hunting knife.
Balaclava-Clad Rider Caught Red-Handed
At 11:55am, officers spotted a man wearing a balaclava riding an e-scooter along Beaumont Road North. A search of his rucksack revealed a viable firearm and a hefty hunting knife.
19-Year-Old Charged and Remanded
The following day, 19-year-old Malique Clithero from Deer Park Way was charged with possessing a firearm without a certificate and carrying a knife in a public place. He was promptly remanded into custody.
Clithero is scheduled to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on June 21.
