A firefighter has been charged after a man was killed by a fire engine rushing to an emergency.

Mitchell Bailey, 58, was struck and died instantly at a roundabout on York Way and Old North Road, Royston, on 18 January 2017.

Careless Driving Charge Filed

Hertfordshire Police confirmed a 47-year-old firefighter faces a careless driving charge causing death.

He is due to appear before magistrates next month.
