Two Charged Over Fatal Southwark Stabbing
Detectives have charged Matthew Henry, 39, and Nicole Quamina, 34, with murder following a fatal stabbing in Southwark. Both suspects are set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 13. The charges were officially filed on Friday, January 12.
Tragic Early Morning Stabbing on Old Kent Road
The deadly incident occurred around 6.50am on Tuesday, January 9, when police were called to reports of a man injured on Old Kent Road, SE1. Despite emergency services rushing to the scene, 47-year-old victim Carlton McCloud sadly died from his injuries. His family have been informed and are currently receiving support.
Cause of Death Confirmed as Chest Stab Wounds
A post-mortem revealed Carlton died from sharp force trauma to the chest. The Metropolitan Police continue to treat the case with the utmost seriousness.
More Arrests Made but Released on Bail
In addition to Henry and Quamina, a 54-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were also arrested on suspicion of murder on the day of the attack. Both have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
