Brutal Dog Owner Attackers Jailed for Over 11 Years

Five thugs launched a savage and unprovoked attack on a dog owner, leaving him with serious injuries including a brain bleed. Brothers Stefan, Rudolph, and Ludovik Kroscen, along with two teenage boys, were jailed for a total of more than 11 years.

Unprovoked Assault Over Dog Sparks Violent Brawl

PC Danielle Hardman revealed the shocking incident happened on May 23 in Rotherham. The victim was unloading his car around 10.30am when his small dog ran off and approached Rudolph Kroscen.

“This was an unprovoked and sustained attack on a victim who was simply carrying out day-to-day activities,” said PC Hardman. “Rudolph punched the victim in the face for no reason at all. The victim defended himself, but then Stefan, Ludovik, and two boys aged 15 and 16 stormed out and joined the attack.”

Five Attackers Pummel Victim With Fists, Kicks, and Broken Stick

  • The victim was punched and kicked repeatedly.
  • Attackers used a broken stick to batter him.
  • The assault ended only when a passerby intervened.

He was left with terrifying injuries including a bleed on the brain, and cuts to his head, eye, and eyebrow.

“This was a brutal assault,” added PC Hardman. “The victim will carry the scars physically and mentally for life.”

Sentences Handed Down at Sheffield Crown Court

  • Stefan Kroscen, 20, jailed for 3 years 9 months
  • Rudolph Kroscen, 23, jailed for 3 years
  • Ludovik Kroscen, 18, jailed for 2 years 6 months
  • Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, each jailed for 12 months (names withheld)

All five pleaded guilty to assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. Justice was served for the brutal attack witnessed on Avondale Road.
