Folkestone Woman Banned for Three Years Over Drug-Driving

Jenna Bispham, 28, from Paxton Avenue, Folkestone, has been slapped with a three-year driving ban after being caught driving over the legal drug limit.

High THC and Cocaine Metabolite Levels Detected

Bispham was stopped on 25 July 2021 and recorded a THC reading of 2.7 microgrammes per litre of blood – well above the legal limit of 2 microgrammes. She also showed benzoylecgonine (a cocaine metabolite) levels over 200 microgrammes, quadruple the 50 microgramme legal threshold.

Sentenced at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court

On 26 January 2022, Bispham pleaded guilty to drug-driving and possession of cannabis, a Class B drug. The court hit her with a £50 fine, ordered 100 hours of unpaid work within the next year, and made her pay a £95 surcharge plus £85 in costs.

Justice has delivered a tough message on drug-driving in Folkestone.
