Major County Lines Drug Bust Rocks North East Scotland
Police have launched a major crackdown on County Lines drug trafficking in the North East of Scotland. Early on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, officers stormed multiple properties in Birmingham and Bromsgrove, executing search warrants as part of an intelligence-led operation.
£64,000 Worth of Drugs Seized
The raids uncovered a haul of cocaine, crack cocaine, and cannabis with a combined street value of around £64,000. These dangerous drugs were destined for distribution across Scotland’s communities.
Joint Forces Tackle Drug Dealers
Detective Inspector Andrew Machray of the North East Division CID Proactive praised the teamwork involved. He said, “I would like to thank our colleagues at West Midlands and West Mercia Police for assisting with this operation. Our collaborative approach shows our commitment to disrupting those who operate and profit from the sale of illegal and harmful substances.”
The force vows to continue battling the exploitation of vulnerable people caught up in drug networks.
