Knife-Wielding Robber Strikes Gravesend Shop
At 8.40pm on Friday, May 13, chaos erupted on Livingstone Road when a man stormed into a shop, threatening both staff and a customer with a knife.
He didn’t stop there — the crook grabbed cash straight from the till before making a swift getaway.
Police Nab Suspect After Hunt
Officers sprang into action, discovering a knife and some clothing dumped nearby during their investigation.
Just over two weeks later, on Monday, May 30, 29-year-old Gavin Jarvis from Palmer Avenue, Gravesend, was arrested.
Robbery Charges and Court Date Set
Jarvis faces serious charges of robbery and carrying a knife in public. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 31, and was remanded to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on June 28.
