Man, 25, Charged After Police Car Crash Injures Four Officers in Southwark

A 25-year-old man faces serious charges after a crash involving a police car left four officers injured in Southwark.

Dangerous Driving Sparks Police Collision

Haydon Martin, from Fenwick Road, Southwark, has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The smash happened just before 1.30pm on Tuesday, 20 October in Draycott Close, near Edmund Street, SE5.

Four Officers Hurt, One Still Hospitalised

Four police officers were hurt in the collision and needed hospital care. The female officer driving the police car remains in hospital, while the three male officers have since been discharged.

Martin to Face Court This Morning

Martin is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court this Thursday, 22 October, to answer the charges.
