Gillingham Dealer Busted with Class A Drugs Hidden in Car Vent
Nathan Moore, 21, from Wyles Street, Gillingham, has been jailed for three years after cops found him carrying crack cocaine and heroin hidden in his car’s air vent.
Stopped and Searched on Ocean Drive
On 19 November 2019, police stopped Moore on Ocean Drive around 1pm, suspecting him of drug dealing. He claimed he’d just left his car parked nearby. But a search revealed over 70 wraps of crack and heroin stashed inside the vehicle’s central air vent.
Cash and Evidence Found
- More than £250 found in driver’s armrest
- Phone numbers seized from Moore
- DNA linked Moore directly to the drugs
Drug Dealer Locked Up
“Moore claimed he had no idea there were drugs hidden in his car but evidence we gathered proved otherwise. I am pleased he is no longer able to target some of the vulnerable people in our society and that we have successfully taken another drug dealer off the streets of Medway,” said PC Jess Summers of North Kent CID.
Moore initially denied possession with intent to supply but later pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court on 31 January 2020.
