Peacehaven Schoolboy Assaulted in Shocking Playground Attack

Year 7 Pupil Sprayed in Face by Group of Boys

Police rushed to the Playing Field by Roderick Avenue in Peacehaven on Thursday afternoon after reports that a Year 7 student from Peacehaven Community School had been attacked.

A witness told us, “Three or four boys attacked the lad and sprayed some sort of substance in his face.”

Victim Hospitalised Overnight

The boy was taken to hospital where he stayed overnight before being discharged the following afternoon.

Sussex Police confirmed they responded to an incident at around 3:15pm on Thursday, November 10, saying, “The parties were known to each other and officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.

School Condemns Attack and Bystander Apathy

A spokesperson for Peacehaven Community School reassured parents, stating, “We take the safeguarding of our young people extremely seriously. We are working closely with police, community services, and other schools to support our students.”

“This distressing event is made worse by the number of young people who filmed and stood by passively. We will address both the physical violence and the inappropriate use of social media.”

Community Rallies to Support Injured Boy

Local dad Dan Palmer, whose children also attend the school, has set up a GoFundMe page to help the boy recover. He said, “After hearing the horrible news, I wanted the community to show support by raising funds for the lad’s recovery – maybe new games or whatever he likes.”

“It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. Let’s prove that not all in our community are bad and help restore some faith for this young boy. We wish him a full and speedy recovery.”
