Shopkeeper Stabbed in Broad Daylight in Hackney
A 54-year-old shopkeeper has been rushed to hospital after a brutal stabbing in broad daylight on Marlborough Avenue, Hackney.
Emergency Services Swift to the Scene
- Police and London Ambulance Service were called at around 4.40pm on March 22 following reports of an assault.
- Air ambulance medics treated the victim for serious stab wounds before rushing him to an east London hospital.
Arrest Made on Suspicion of Attempted Murder
Officers arrested a 37-year-old man at the scene on charges of attempted murder. The Met Police confirmed the arrest as investigations continue.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Marlborough Avenue, Hackney, at 4.38pm on Monday following reports of an assault. Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics. They found a man, believed to be aged 54, who had been stabbed. He has been taken to an east London hospital and we await an update on his condition. A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene.”
