Hounslow Drug Dealer Caught with 140 Wraps of Crack Behind Bars
Tomas Afewerki, 20, from North Hyde Lane, Heston, was jailed for over five years after being caught with a huge stash of Class A drugs in Hounslow town centre.
Caught Red-Handed on Hounslow High Street
On 17 March 2019, Afewerki was stopped by police on Hounslow High Street. Officers found 21 wraps of heroin and cocaine on him. But the search didn’t stop there.
140 Wraps of Crack and More Found at His Home
A subsequent raid at Afewerki’s address uncovered a staggering 140 wraps of crack cocaine along with additional heroin. Faced with overwhelming evidence, Afewerki changed his plea to guilty.
Jailed for 5 Years and 2 Months
Appearing at Isleworth Crown Court on 7 November 2019, Afewerki was sentenced to 5 years and 2 months in prison for possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine.
Inspector Dee O’Brien of Hounslow Safer Neighbourhoods said: “This is a fantastic result for the people of Hounslow. The hard work by the Hounslow Central police team shows we will not tolerate drugs. We urge anyone with information about criminal activity to please come forward.”
