Ex-Dinner Lady Jailed for Sex Crimes Against Teen
Terri Spragg, a former dinner lady from Isle of Wight, has been locked up for three years. The 35-year-old was convicted of seven counts of sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy.
Suspended Sentence Overruled on Appeal
Earlier this year, Spragg received a 15-month suspended sentence. But her case was referred to the Court of Appeal, which handed down the tougher custodial sentence.
NSPCC Slams Spragg’s “Deplorable” Actions
Spragg deliberately targeted and took advantage of an underage boy,” said an NSPCC spokesman. “Her deplorable actions will have had a serious effect on the victim and we hope he receives swift support. Child abuse has devastating effects and can ruin lives.”
Spragg has also been placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
