Worthing Man Jailed for Serial Theft Spree
A 29-year-old Worthing man has been slammed with 24 weeks behind bars after a string of thefts across the town and beyond.
Farji’s Crime List
Fardin Farji, from Christchurch Road, was locked up following his appearance at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 14 November. His offences include:
- Stealing a charger from The Range in Ham Road on 12 October
- Pinching four coats worth £194 from TK Maxx, Liverpool Road, on 13 October
- Breaking a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) by entering TK Maxx on 25 July
- Stealing a bicycle valued at £350 from Goring Road on 20 August
- Repeated breaches of his CBO by entering TK Maxx on 13 and 14 October
Criminal Behaviour Order Ignored
Inspector Sharon Sawyer of the Adur and Worthing Neighbourhood Policing Team said:
“Farji was slapped with a Criminal Behaviour Order in August 2021 to curb his offending and protect local businesses from further losses, due to his history of shoplifting.
“He was warned that breaking this order could land him in prison – and that’s exactly how it’s played out.”
Inspector Sawyer also praised the victims and witnesses who came forward, saying their help was crucial in securing the conviction.
