Southampton Drug Dealers Busted at McDonald’s Car Park
On October 3, 2020, Southampton’s High Harm team swooped on a grey Fiat Bravo parked outside McDonald’s in Green Park, Millbrook. Officers spotted a man sitting in the driver’s seat and decided to check him out.
Heroin and Crack Found During Stop
A search of the car and driver uncovered several wraps of Class A drugs, a small stash of cannabis, and a mobile phone in the passenger door pocket. Meanwhile, the passenger inside McDonald’s was found with two phones and £455 in cash.
£400 Worth of Drugs Seized, Two Arrested
The drugs tested positive for heroin and crack cocaine, with a combined street value of £400. Driver Kamal Gordon was arrested on the spot and charged with two counts of being involved in Class A drug supply.
Passenger Romarn Birch, 24, from Hornsey Lane, Haringey, was also arrested and faced the same charges.
Sentences and Strong Police Warning
Kamal Gordon was jailed for five years and nine months at Southampton Crown Court on June 29. Romarn Birch is due back in court for sentencing on July 14.
“Drugs supply often links to violent crime and exploitation of vulnerable adults,” police warned. “We’re taking a hard stance and urge the public to report any suspicious activity to help us crack down.”
