Monster Lee Hampton Jailed for Repeated Rape and Drugging
Lee Hampton, from Hollingbourne, has been found guilty of a shocking spree of sexual offences. He was convicted on seven counts of rape, four counts of assault by penetration, and two counts of administering a substance with intent. The vile attacks stretched over nearly four years, from January 2017 to October 2020, in the local area.
Drugging and Abuse Over Years
Hampton repeatedly crushed sleeping pills and hid them in cold and flu tablets or spiked the victim’s food to render her unconscious. He then raped her while she was drugged.
Worse still, he filmed and photographed his sick assaults and shared the footage with others, police revealed.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, bravely reported the abuse, sparking a complex and emotionally draining police investigation that ended in his conviction.
Victim’s Heartbreaking Statement: “I Don’t Know Who I Am Anymore”
“The psychological damage cannot begin to be put into words.
I worry for my future—that I will never be able to trust anyone again, that I will never enjoy a healthy relationship again, that I will never be me.
I still have daily flashbacks and nightmares.”
This powerful victim personal statement was read out in court, shedding light on the lasting trauma caused by Hampton’s crimes.
Police Praise Victim’s Courage
Detective Constable Kolasinski, who led the investigation, said:
“There is no place in society for the horrific criminality that has taken place here. It represents some of the worst behaviour imaginable in humanity.
I would like to thank the victim for her unwavering bravery during this investigation and subsequent trial. Her courage should inspire others to come forward.”
He also paid tribute to Complex Crime Investigator Gemma Sole, who supported the victim throughout the case before departing the force.
Sentencing Still to Come
Hampton remains in custody and awaits sentencing at a future hearing.
