Herne Bay Horror: Passenger Stabbed in Shocking Road Rage Standoff
A man today spoke exclusively about the terror he felt when his pal was seriously stabbed in their BMW by three men during a terrifying “game of chicken” on a quiet Herne Bay street.
Morning Madness on Stanley Road
The nightmare began just after 7am on Tuesday, 3rd May, on Stanley Road. Emergency crews arrived swiftly at 7.15am after reports of a two-car crash followed by a brutal assault.
The driver, who asked to remain anonymous, described the chilling moments. “Two men jumped out after crashing into a tree stump. They ran off fast. Then a third man stumbled out and pulled a knife. My pal went after them and got stabbed badly. There was blood everywhere.”
Quiet Kent Town Shocked by Violent Incident
“I’ve lived here ten years and never expected anything like this,” the driver said. “It felt like something out of Hackney, not sleepy Herne Bay. We were just driving when a white car came at us like the driver was playing chicken. Then they hit a tree stump, flipped their car, and crashed into us.”
“Thankfully, it was early so no kids were around. If it had been later, it could’ve been a disaster with children on the way to school.”
Kent Police Launch Manhunt for Knife-Wielding Trio
Kent Police confirmed the stabbing victim was rushed to a London hospital with serious injuries. They launched a full investigation and closed part of Stanley Road and a nearby alleyway to gather evidence.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 7.05am after a two-car collision and assault. We are appealing for witnesses to come forward.” Anyone with information should call 01843 222289 quoting reference 03-0150.
Officers and scenes of crime teams remain on alert in Herne Bay as the hunt continues for the men who fled after the vicious attack.
