Financial cops from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have swooped to seize cash and assets from two crooks linked to the same organised crime gang. Using powers under the Proceeds of Crime Act, investigators moved fast to clamp down on their dirty profits.

Aaron Duff Slapped with £26,366 Confiscation Order

On Monday 5 December 2022, Maidstone Crown Court ordered 30-year-old Aaron Duff to hand over £26,366 in cash and frozen bank funds. Duff was locked up for eight years back in January 2022 for conspiracy to supply cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis, and acquiring criminal property.

  • Duff’s drug empire raked in over £400,000.
  • £4,190 was already seized by police.
  • The remaining cash frozen in his bank accounts.
  • Duff, from Penns Yard, Pembury, must pay within three months or face an extra 12 months behind bars.

Nathaniel Green Forced to Forfeit £66,756 After Drug Conviction

Earlier, on 29 November, 37-year-old Nathaniel Green was also hit with a cash grab after his 10-year prison sentence for conspiracy to supply cocaine, cannabis, and amphetamine.

  • Green made over half a million pounds from his crime spree.
  • Police seized £34,425 in cash.
  • Investigators uncovered additional assets bought with dirty money.
  • Green, of Settington Avenue, Chatham, has three months to cough up £66,756 or face nine more months in prison.

Police Vow to Chase Drug Profits Long After Prison

Detective Inspector David Godfrey said: “The court has identified the significant amounts these men have made through crime. Notwithstanding any cash or assets confiscated in the short term, our investigators will continue to pursue them, even after they are released from prison, until the full profits have been repaid under the Proceeds of Crime Act.”
