Transgender Woman Facing Child Sex Charges Found Dead After Home Attack
Maddison Wilson’s Shocking Death
Maddison Wilson, 37, a transgender woman charged with serious child sex offences, was found dead just hours after her Portsmouth home was attacked. The coroner has ruled her death a suicide.
Formerly known as Mark Anthony Charles Wilson, Maddison underwent gender reassignment surgery in November 2024. She was due to appear in court on 26 February 2025, accused of raping a girl under 13 in Hull, as well as causing children in Hull and Southampton to engage in sexual activity.
Desperate Call Just Hours Before Death
On 13 February 2025, Maddison’s brother, Wolfie Wilson, received a panicked phone call. Maddison sounded “panicked and breathing hard,” telling him a neighbour had smashed her window.
Coroner Reveals Harrowing Final Moments
The next day, Maddison was found dead at Castle Field, barely hours after the attack on her home. Hampshire Senior Coroner Christopher Wilkinson said Maddison fled her house “in a very frightened and distressed state.”
“She took her own life whilst suffering acute distress and chronic depression,” Mr Wilkinson said. He added that the publicity around her case led to victimisation both over the alleged crimes and her transgender lifestyle, which made her property a target.
