Care Home Horror: Man Admits Nine Rapes Against Vulnerable Women
Joshua Springer, 35, from Cornstall Buildings, Stamford, has confessed to a string of shocking rapes. The vile attacks targeted elderly women living in a Lincolnshire care home, as well as one victim in North Yorkshire.
Gruesome Details of the Crimes
- Springer pled guilty to nine counts of rape – six involving three women and three against a fourth woman.
- Three of the victims were residents of a Lincolnshire care home, kept secret to protect their identities.
- The fourth attack happened at a separate address in North Yorkshire.
- He also admitted producing three indecent images of children, some in the most extreme categories.
Arrest and Court Proceedings
Springer was arrested on 26 July after police probed sexual assault reports at the care home. He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on 28 July and was remanded in custody.
His guilty plea was formally entered at Lincoln Crown Court on 2 December. Sentencing is set for Friday, 6 February.
