Gun Haul in Glasgow: Man Arrested in Major Firearms Crackdown
Police Scotland’s Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit (OCCTU) have swooped on a Maryhill property, arresting a 38-year-old man after uncovering a stash of illegal firearms and ammunition.
Big Find on Benview Street
The operation kicked off at 12:55pm on Friday, 20 October 2023, when officers executed a search warrant at a home on Benview Street. Acting on solid intelligence, the OCCTU uncovered a significant haul of guns and ammo.
Suspect to Face Court Over Arms Charges
The 38-year-old will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 23 October, facing serious charges linked to the firearms and ammunition recovered.

Detective Chief Inspector Steven Elliot said: “This recovery is of utmost importance and highlights our unwavering commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.”
