Man Arrested Over Gosport Assault Released Without Charge
Victim Suffers Serious Head Injuries
A 54-year-old man was left seriously injured after a violent attack in Gosport. The victim was assaulted outside a home on 1 Road between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday, 15 July.
He suffered fractured cheekbones on both sides and a broken eye socket. After hospital treatment, he has now been discharged.
Suspect Description Released
The victim described his attacker as a white male, aged 20-25, with short blond hair and a medium build.
Arrest Made but Suspect Released
A 20-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He was later released without charge but remains under police investigation.
