Man Arrested in Winchester Murder Probe

Police have arrested a 58-year-old man in connection with the murder of Carl Scott in Winchester. The suspect was detained on the evening of Friday, March 24, and is currently in custody being questioned.

Officers were called to a property in Birch Court, off Thurmond Crescent, Winchester, at 5.31pm on Wednesday, March 22 after a member of the public discovered Mr Scott’s body.

Investigation Ongoing – Police Seek Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Morgan said: “We are still in the early stages of this investigation and are following various lines of enquiry to establish exactly what happened. We are focusing on Mr Scott’s lifestyle and movements.”

“I am appealing to anyone who knew Mr Scott or had contact with him since February 1 this year to come forward. Your information could be vital.”

“A cordon will remain at the address for several days while investigations continue. We thank local residents for their patience.”
