Teen’s Clever ‘Pizza Order’ SOS Foils Horrific Attack
A fearless 15-year-old used a crafty code to alert West Midlands Police after a horrifying assault. After watching a TikTok about calling for help by “ordering a pizza,” she copied the trick – and it saved her life.
Rapid-Fire Police Response Snaps Up Attacker
The quick-thinking call handler instantly suspected trouble. Using sharp yes-or-no questions, officers confirmed danger while the terrified girl, stranded by the roadside in Druids Heath, gave them the attacker’s car details and location.
West Midlands Police swiftly arrested 41-year-old Abdul Kahar from Alum Rock.
Groomed Online and Assaulted in Car
Kahar lured the girl on Snapchat in June, pretending to be a 17-year-old called ‘Jay.’ They arranged a meet on July 28th, where he gave her alcohol before raping and sexually assaulting her in his car.
At Birmingham Crown Court on December 1, Kahar pleaded guilty to:
- Two counts of raping a female under 16
- Four counts of sexually assaulting a girl over 13
- Non-fatal strangulation
- Breaching a sexual harm prevention order
Sentencing is set for February 9.
Police Praise Heroic Teen and Alert Call Handler
“Kahar groomed a vulnerable 15-year-old online and then raped her in his car,” said Detective Constable Lauren Campbell.
“I want to praise the brave actions of the girl and the call handler who understood this was a cry for help.”
This chilling case shows how quick wit from both victim and police brought a dangerous predator to justice.
