Man Charged Over Death of Missing Edinburgh Woman Khasha Smith
Police have made a major breakthrough in the case of missing Edinburgh woman Khasha Smith. A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with her death. Khasha, 35, vanished after a FaceTime call on October 10, 2023. Her body has not been found, but authorities now believe she is dead based on solid evidence uncovered during the investigation.
Suspect to Appear in Court Next Month
The accused is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, September 9, 2024. Detective Chief Inspector Bob Williamson, who is leading the case, offered heartfelt condolences to Khasha’s devastated family.
“Our thoughts remain with Khasha’s family at this extremely difficult time. They are understandably devastated, and it is vital we get answers for them,” said DCI Williamson.
