Man Charged Over Hotel Worker Sex Assault in Southampton
Police have arrested a man following the shocking sexual assault of a hotel worker at Highfield House Hotel in Southampton.
Attack Reported Days After Incident
The assault happened on Friday, January 16, but the victim only reported it three days later, on Monday morning, January 19. Officers acted fast, gathering witness statements and swiftly arresting the suspect.
Suspect in Custody, Court Date Set
Melaku Gebresembet, 23, from Highfield Lane, Southampton, has been charged with sexual assault. The Ethiopian national is now behind bars and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on January 21.
