Man Charged After Brutal Attack on Birmingham Police
A 52-year-old man faces serious charges after a violent incident involving police officers in Springfield, Birmingham.
Knife Slash and Punch in Shocking Assault
Tariq Zeb has been slapped with one count of grievous bodily harm and another of assault causing actual bodily harm.
The attack took place on 19 November at a Springfield address. One officer suffered a slash wound to the face from a knife. Another officer was punched during the fracas.
Officers Treated and Discharged
Both injured officers were rushed to hospital. Thankfully, after treatment, they have now been discharged.
Accused Remanded in Custody
Zeb was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Birmingham magistrates on 21 November.
