Man Charged with Murder After Brutal Crayford Assault

A 38-year-old man has been charged with murder following a savage assault in Crayford. Gareth Standing, from Central Road, Dartford, was arrested and charged on Tuesday, 23 June.

Quick Arrest After Shocking Attack

The arrest came just hours after police were called by ambulance crews to reports of a man battered on The Parade, Crayford, on Friday, 19 June at 4.18pm.

Victim Dies Following Air Ambulance Rescue

Officers found the victim, 41-year-old Wayne Hoskyns, unresponsive at the scene. He was rushed to hospital by London’s Air Ambulance in critical condition but sadly died the following afternoon, Saturday, 20 June.

Suspect to Face Court Today

Standing is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 24 June. The investigation is being led by Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime.
