Woman Plucked from Lake Near Mottingham Station in Dramatic Rescue
A woman was rushed to hospital after being rescued from a lake at The Tarn, a popular park by Mottingham Station in Eltham, this morning. The swift emergency response saw London Ambulance Service" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Ambulance Service (LAS) teams scramble to the scene shortly after 11am.
Emergency Teams Rush to The Tarn
Paramedics were called to The Tarn’s landscaped lake off Sidcup Road at 11.03am following reports of a person in the water. Ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) arrived quickly to aid the woman, treating her at the scene before hospital transfer.
“We were called today (Mon 17) at 11.03am to reports of a person in the water at The Tarn, Sidcup Road, Eltham,” said a London Ambulance Service spokesperson. “We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). We treated a woman before taking her to hospital.”
Met Police Call It a ‘Non-Crime Matter’
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they did not attend the scene and labelled the incident a “non-crime matter,” indicating no suspicion of criminal activity.
