Tragic stabbing: Young mum murdered while pushing baby in pram
Brutal Attack Shocks Community
On Saturday afternoon, 27-year-old Kulsuma Akter was savagely stabbed to death while pushing her baby in a pram. The victim was out buying food to break her Ramadan fast when the shocking attack took place. Despite being rushed to hospital, Kulsuma sadly died from her injuries. Heartbreaking footage shows Kulsuma’s baby left alone in the pram, comforted by police and friends at the scene.
Suspect Nabbed 150 Miles Away
Habibur Masum, 25, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed weapon. He was arrested 150 miles from the scene in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Masum was also held over suspicions of assisting an offender and drug offences. Another 23-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has since been released on bail.
Awaiting Court Appearance
Masum is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court this Thursday to face the murder and weapon charges. West Yorkshire Police are continuing their investigation and have urged the public to come forward with any information.
