A shocking murder charge has been slapped on a man following a deadly crash in Willesden this December.
Shakaine Dwyer Charged with Murder
Shakaine Dwyer, 29, of Willesden, now faces a murder charge after a fatal collision on December 3.
Dwyer was initially charged with causing death by dangerous driving on December 7, but the charge was upgraded on December 29. He is set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrate’s Court on January 19, 2026.
Victim Named: Ruben Nunes Dies at Scene
The crash happened at 12:44pm on Chapel Close after a car collided with pedestrians.
Tragically, Ruben Nunes, 34, from Peterborough, died instantly at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Ongoing Investigation and Second Arrest
Police launched an immediate probe into the incident. A man was arrested the day after the crash.
Separately, Gregory Ejiofor, 31, from Milton Keynes, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He appeared in custody on December 9 and is due back at Southwark Crown Court on December 6.
