Man in 60s Rushed to Hospital After Brutal Brawl Outside Canterbury Arms
A man in his 60s was seriously injured in a violent fight outside the Canterbury Arms pub in Walworth yesterday afternoon. Emergency services were called to the scene following a terrifying altercation.
Emergency Teams Race to Scene of Bloody Walworth Clash
Just after 1pm on Thursday, 20 November, police and paramedics scrambled to Maddock Way, Brandon Estate, Southwark, after reports of a man seriously hurt.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “It’s believed the man was involved in an altercation prior to sustaining his injuries.” Officers treated him at the scene before rushing him to hospital with life-threatening wounds. No arrests have been made yet as inquiries continue.
Crime Scene Locked Down as Investigation Gears Up
The area outside the pub remained cordoned off well into Friday morning. Over ten officers were still on site at lunchtime, combing through evidence and speaking to witnesses.
The London Ambulance Service explained: “We were called at 1pm on 20 November to reports of an unwell person in Maddock Way, SE17. Two ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer attended. The patient was treated at the scene and taken to hospital as a priority.”
