Predator Artur Seberger Jailed for 15 Child Sex Offences
Artur Seberger, 53, with no fixed address, has been sentenced after pleading guilty to 15 sexual offences against children. His horrific crimes spanned 17 years, from 2005 to 2022.
Two Victims Brave Enough to Speak Out
The victims, aged between 10 and 16 when abused, were known to Seberger. They bravely contacted police in July 2024, sparking an immediate investigation.
Seberger Arrested Twice After Breaking Bail
Police first arrested Seberger on 9 July 2024. After he broke bail conditions and harassed the victims, he was re-arrested on 22 July 2024. He was convicted of multiple offences including causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, attempting assault by penetration, and forcing a child to watch sexual acts.
Court Hears Impact of Years of Abuse
Seberger was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on 22 January 2025, having pleaded guilty on 7 January.
Detective Constable Callum Boast, Public Protection South East, said:
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the victims, who have been incredibly courageous in coming forward and sharing the trauma they endured.
“Officers acted swiftly after the reports and, once Seberger breached bail, he was remanded in prison to protect the victims further. Our team gathered extensive witness statements and evidence over six months, leading to his guilty plea and avoiding trial.
“The physical and mental impact of such sustained abuse cannot be overstated. I hope this sentence offers the victims some closure and peace.”
