Man Dies After Brutal Morning Attack in Slough
Murder Probe Launched
Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit has launched a murder investigation following a violent assault in Slough on Friday morning, April 25. Officers were called to Grant Avenue at 6.46am, where they found two injured victims.
Victim Dies Despite Hospital Efforts
The 46-year-old man was rushed to hospital but sadly died that afternoon despite medical efforts. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support. A 34-year-old woman also suffered minor injuries but was treated and released.
Suspect Charged and Held
Jakub Nowicki, 40, of Ascot Road, Maidenhead, has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and criminal damage. He remains in custody and is set to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court at 10am on April 28.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Nick Hind said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this extremely difficult time. A scene remains in place as we continue enquiries. We thank the community for their patience and urge anyone with information to speak to a uniformed officer.”
