Everton Rapist Sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court
Momoh-Jimoh Musari, 35, from Greenside in Everton, has been slammed with a prison sentence after being found guilty of raping a woman in her 40s. The verdict came down today at Liverpool Crown Court following a high-profile trial earlier this year.
Brutal Attack Last October
Last October, Musari committed his horrifying crime inside a house in Everton. After an intense police investigation, he was arrested the following month. Despite denying the charges, a jury saw through his lies and found him guilty.
Lifetime Sexual Offender Registration and Restraining Order
Along with a custodial sentence, Musari was placed on the Sexual Offender Register for life. He has also been slapped with a 15-year restraining order to keep him away from the victim.
Police Praise Victim’s Courage and Call for Reports
“Musari is a dangerous offender, and it’s reassuring to know that he has been removed from our community and is now facing a lengthy time in prison,” said Detective Inspector Adam Smith.
Smith praised the victim’s bravery during the traumatic ordeal and urged anyone affected by sexual assault to come forward. He highlighted Merseyside Police’s dedicated team that works closely with support groups such as Victim Care Support Service and RASA to help victims.
