Man Cuts His Throat in Rotherhithe – Tasered and Airlifted to Hospital
Police were scrambled to a residential block on Garter Way, Rotherhithe, SE16, after reports of a man acting erratically.

At 5.53pm, officers arrived to find a man in his 50s holding a knife. When police deployed a taser, it failed to subdue him.
Self-Inflicted Injury Sparks Air Ambulance Call
The man then slashed his own throat. London’s Air 1 helicopter rushed him to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
Aftermath: Police Custody and Precautions
