Fugitive on the Run for Two Years Finally Behind Bars

James Sebastian Thomas, 29, from Hembridge Road, Selby, spent nearly two years dodging the police before his luck ran out.

Found Guilty at York Crown Court

Thomas was convicted of assault causing actual bodily harm, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply, and failing to surrender to bail.

Harsh Sentence for Brutal Attack

The court handed Thomas a prison term of 2 years and 10 months. He also received a 10-year restraining order to protect his 2018 assault victim.

“Thomas brutally attacked his victim, causing severe swelling and bruising to the side of her face,” the court heard.

Justice has finally been served after Thomas’s long run from the law.
