County Lines Dealer Busted in Medway Drug Sting

A county lines dealer from Medway has landed behind bars after cops caught him mid-drug deal.

Caught Red-Handed at Great Lines Park

Reece Modeste, 25, of Dunlin Drive, St Mary’s Island, was arrested following a police raid on June 10, 2021. Officers from Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team responded after a tip-off about a drug deal in progress at Great Lines Park, Chatham.

Modeste was found hanging out with another man when police swooped. A search uncovered 20 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin on him. Further investigation of his phone revealed texts confirming his drug-dealing activities.

Jailed for Nearly Three Years

Modeste pled guilty to possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply at Maidstone Crown Court on 5 October 2021. He was sentenced to two years and nine months behind bars.

Police Vow to Crack Down on County Lines

“We are committed to eradicating county lines dealing in Kent,” said Detective Robert Parker of the County Lines and Gangs Team. “We will relentlessly pursue those who deal in the death and misery of class A drugs and exploit some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.”
