Articulated Lorry Blaze Sends Man to Hospital in Sevington
A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering burns when an articulated lorry went up in flames at a business park in Sevington, near Ashford.
Heroic Firefighters Battle Blazing Lorry
South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics quickly attended the scene. Fire crews, decked out in breathing apparatus, fought the fierce fire using main jets and compressed air foam. This foam creates a thick blanket to smother flames and stop the fire from spreading.
Lorry and Cargo Destroyed, Cause Thought Accidental
Despite firefighters’ tenacious efforts, both the lorry and its cargo were completely destroyed. The blaze is believed to have started accidentally, with investigations ongoing.
