Met Police Officer Charged with Multiple Sexual Offences
Cop Arrested Over Shocking Allegations
A serving officer from the Metropolitan Police has been hit with serious sexual offence charges involving three men and a woman. Police Sergeant Lee Symons, 48, who served with the West Area Command Unit, was suspended in December 2022. He is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 27, 2025.
Multiple Charges Spanning Over a Decade
Symons was charged on December 23, 2024, with assault by penetration and five counts of sexual assault by touching. These relate to alleged offences committed between 2012 and 2018, all involving the same man.
In addition, he faces five further sexual assault charges dating from 2009 to 2021. Three involve one man, while the other two are linked to another man and a woman.
All Victims Known to Officer
All alleged victims reportedly knew PS Symons at the time of the incidents. The disturbing charges have sent shockwaves through the police force and the public alike.
The Metropolitan Police said: “We take all allegations of this nature extremely seriously. The officer has been suspended since December 2022, and we are fully cooperating with the ongoing legal process.”
Trial Looms as Police and Community Watch Closely
PS Symons will face trial after these charges were officially filed. The case is set to command attention as it moves through the courts.
