Metro Cop Sacked Without Notice After Gross Misconduct Hearing
A Metropolitan Police officer has been axed immediately following a damning misconduct hearing. PC Wesley Griffith, from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, was found guilty of gross misconduct, ending his police career on the spot.
Allegations of Abuse and Assault
The probe centred on accusations that Griffith subjected a woman he knew to controlling and coercive behaviour. Shockingly, he was also accused of assaulting her during an off-duty bust-up in February 2022.
Evidence Leaves No Doubt: Dismissal Confirmed
After sifting through all evidence, the hearing chair concluded Griffith had violated professional standards in the worst way. The verdict? Immediate dismissal without retirement or warnings.
Met Boss Demands Zero Tolerance
Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah, head of the Roads and Transport Policing Command, slammed Griffith’s actions. She said: “We must give the communities of London a Police service that it deserves, and anyone that fails to meet that standard cannot possibly remain in our organisation.”
